Privacy policy
TailorSwan handles your resume and the jobs you apply to, so here is plainly what it does with them.

Who is responsible
TailorSwan is run by Snehith Kumar, an individual. Questions about this policy go through the contact page.
What I store
Account details. You sign in with Google. I keep your Google account id, email address, name, and profile picture URL.
Your work. The resume you upload or paste, the job postings you add, the rewritten sections and the choices you make on them, cover letter drafts, contact research results, exported files, score history, notifications, and your settings.
Usage events. Simple records of what you did in the product, such as creating an application or exporting a resume. They help me see what works and fix what does not.
Who else sees your text
Rewrites and drafts are produced by AI. The text needed for a task, such as your resume content and the job posting, is sent to Anthropic. Company and role research may use Perplexity. Those providers handle the text under their own terms. I do not sell your data and I do not use it to train models.
When you look up people to write to, the company name and domain, and sometimes a name, are sent to contact data services (Hunter, Apollo, and TheOrg). They return names, titles, and email addresses that they already have.
Sign in goes through Google. The site runs on a hosting provider with a PostgreSQL database, and Cloudflare sits in front of it for delivery and basic security.
Cookies
One cookie keeps you signed in. It is marked HttpOnly so page scripts cannot read it. The site also remembers display choices such as light or dark mode in your browser. There are no advertising trackers.
Chrome extension
The extension runs on supported job board pages. It reads the posting and the application form on the page you are using so it can fill the form from your resume, and it talks to your TailorSwan account. It keeps a few small settings in your browser storage.
How long data is kept
Your applications, resumes, and exports stay until you delete them or ask me to delete your account. You can delete applications and exported files inside the app. Backups of the database can outlive a deletion for a short while before they rotate out.
Your choices
To get a copy of your data, correct it, or delete your whole account, write to me from the email on your account using the contact page. I will confirm when it is done.
Security
Traffic uses HTTPS and sessions use signed tokens. No system is perfectly safe. If something happens that affects your data, I will tell the people affected.
Children
TailorSwan is not meant for anyone under 16, and I do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes to this policy
If I change how data is handled, I will update this page and the date at the top.
